I’m sure that many of you have wondered whether I too have taken off to the Pegasus galaxy and succumbed to the threat that is the Wraith. But I haven’t. Instead life has been full of those things that seem to be part of a conspiracy to get between one and the computer keyboard for anything more interesting than the day job. Hopefully now that I have finally managed to spend some quality time with my beloved new PC and started churning out the draft for Chapter 29 you’ll still be interested in finding out whether Sheppard, now re-united with Weir, finally manages to get her safely back to Atlantis and admit his feelings for her. So keep your eyes open as the next chapter should be available within the next few days.

My humble apologies to everyone reading my story, Promises Made. I never intended to take a 6 week break from writing but then we all know that saying about the road and good intentions. Anyway for those still interested in how things pan out for John & Elizabeth you’ll be happy to see a new chapter posted to the FanFiction website. And you’ll also be glad to know that the subsequent chapter is also nearly ready to publish. It just needs its final proof read and then it will be posted in a few days. That’s the good news.

The bad news however is that Chapter 21 has not completed its first draft. I’ll try and keep the delays to a minimum but to make up for it there will be much more whump than I originally planned. You see part of the reason for the long delay has been another one of those strange visits from the evil plot bunnies. They’ve been busily plotting in whatever dark place bunnies plot and now they’ve brought their evil plans to me – and I love them. Does that make me evil? Nah, that just means I can keep you guys happy as everyone knows that you just love to whump poor Sheppard – and some of you even like to see the same happen to Elizabeth. So stick with the story and you will have your wishes fulfilled.

Chapter 16 will be hitting the airwaves shortly after a short delay. I humbly apologise to all those following my latest fanfiction story. I know it can be frustrating waiting for the latest instalment.

This chapter was sent to my beta three weeks ago and normally she returns it with her comments within a fortnight while I get on with the next chapter. But this time I haven’t heard from her despite sending a subsequent email and she hasn’t posted to her own blog, facebook or twitter for a while either. So I hope she is okay. Last time she went off air for a few weeks she had landed herself in hospital with a broken leg and require surgery to insert pins to hold everything together. She will ride a motorbike and play ice hockey.

So to keep everyone happy I’m publishing Chapter 16 without beta review. And to make up for the delay Chapter 17 will be larger, filled with action and suspense with a dash of whump and will be winging its way to the other side of the planet to my beta. But don’t worry if I haven’t heard from my beta within the week, it too will be posted without review.
